Consultation at the Welsh Longhouse

Service Description

Half day consultation at Cefnmachllys longhouse, a 17th century longhouse in the Brecon Beacons. You can bring along house plans and photographs to aid discussion. I can cover topics such as where to get started, fabric repair, what can and cannot be saved, how to make your house healthy again and how to introduce modern levels of comfort. We can talk through your building from roof and floor to walls including lime mortars, plasters renders and paints to insulation systems, limecrete floors, and timber repairs. I can show you different approaches, materials and finishes at the farmhouse. So whether you have your own Welsh longhouse, farmhouse, cottage or town house I can guide you through how to approach and plan your project.
